The company pioneered the invention of the Visual QR Code technology for marketing, smart packaging, and e-commerce, and later expanded its offering to the Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) domains. Visualead’s latest technology enables anyone with any smartphone to easily transform real life objects into interactive spatiotemporal videos and use them to enhance reality. In 2013, Visualead won the 1st place in China’s prestigious Global Mobile Internet Conference startup competition. In 2017, the company was recognized as a Top 10 Winner at the Davis Challenge, alongside renowned AI players such as Google, Facebook and Nvidia. Visualead was acquired by Alibaba in 2017.
