Based in San Francisco, Metaweb Technologies was spun out of Applied Minds in July 2005 to build a better infrastructure for the Web. After several years of development, we recently launched our first product: Freebase – an open, shared database of the world's information. Freebase is an open database of the world’s information. It is built by the community and for the community — free for anyone to query, contribute to, built applications on top of, or integrate into their websites.
