Artemis pCell vRAN technology is an entirely new approach to wireless, delivering over 1 Gbps in 20 MHz of spectrum for Private or Public LTE or 5G networks, over 10 times the data rate of conventional cellular LTE/5G in the same amount of spectrum.
pCell’s first large-scale commercial deployment is a Private mobile network in SAP Center, home of the San Jose Sharks, a 140,000 sq. ft. (13,000 sq. m), 20,000-seat arena using free CBRS spectrum, where it not only delivers 1 Gbps per 20 MHz, 10x the aggregate data rate of the existing arena cellular network, it does so uniformly throughout the arena, while the cellular network data rate varies widely from seat-to-seat.
Artemis was founded by inventor and technology pioneer Steve Perlman in the early 2000s. Incubated for over a decade by Rearden Companies, Artemis is based in Mountain View, California.
pCell technology is protected by a broad portfolio of fundamental patents, both US and internationally.
