Oaklands College Basketball Academy is Nationally recognised as one of the best player development centres in the country (Basketball England accredited AASE Academy) and we have the specialist staff and facilities to help you progress on to the next level.
In addition, if you are at a regional level or national teams level you can study the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE), which is designed for athletes who are dedicated to wanting a career in basketball/sport at a performance level.
The Academy has both Men's and Women's teams competing at a National Level. A WBBL (Women's British Basketball League) franchise was established in 2016, the only professional women's team in the East Region. In addition we have competition and participation for all levels competing in regional basketball competitions. The basketball programme is timetabled to work alongside your academic studies (BTEC Sport, A levels or vocational course) and is focused on developing your individual ability to maximize your basketball potential.
Oaklands Basketball Academy is affiliated with the Wolves Junior National League program. Consisting of club teams for both male and female at U11/U12, U14 and U16, competing in Basketball England National League competitions.
