HPE Group is a flexible, agile and innovative provider of engineering solutions, technology, projects and products. It is located in Modena, in the heart of the Italian Motor Valley.
HPE was founded by Piero Ferrari in 1998 as a design and simulation company; COXA, on the other hand, was founded in 1985 as a manufacturing firm operating not only in the Automotive and Motorsport sectors, but also engaged in the biomedical and defense fields. Its qualities in terms of manufacturing and speed of execution convinced Piero Ferrari and the engineer Bonometti to acquire it in 2010, generating HPE COXA. Until then, the two companies had always followed stand-alone projects, even if complementary. Piero Ferrari's ultimate goal has always been to create a company that was able to manage the entire supply chain, combining different engineering skills and providing a complete service to the customer.
HPE Group bases its success on 300 employees, 80% of whom are engineers, with an average age of 30. The reason behind this low age threshold is attributable to the company’s belief of investing in the engineers of the future, training them through a path of professional and human growth.
In 2019 the company had a turnover of € 27 million, increasing its value by 300% if compared to 2010. Since the Automotive and Motorsport sectors accounted for 85% of the profit, the management has decided to enter the electrification and artificial intelligence markets by founding a new business unit, EVO. The goal is to diversify the business in view of future market demands, increasingly oriented to this direction.
At the end of 2022, AT Motors, a company active in the production of electric motors, and Pure Power Control (P2C), a company active in the development of electronic controls, joined forces with HPE and Coxa, officially launching the birth of HPE Group.
