Founded in Verona, Italy, in 1969, SOVEMA GROUP S.p.A. is a world-renowned supplier of equipment for battery production. The Company saw its beginnings as the machine shop of an Italian battery maker, was then spun off as an independent company, and has made major strides ever since, developing its business on a global scale and becoming a solid reference for the industry it serves. Hundreds of installations in over eighty countries worldwide have allowed Sovema Group to develop stateof- the-art equipment and engineering solutions not only for lead-acid battery manufacturers. From the early years of the new millennium, the Company has in fact expanded its business portfolio by acquiring a company and adding new product lines which encompass power electronics, lab testing equipment, and lithium battery manufacturing systems. Sovema Group is now proud to offer four distinct product lines, each distinguished by its own brand name: - SOVEMA: Customized and turnkey solutions for lead-acid battery manufacturing - SOLITH: State-of-the-art equipment for lithium-ion cell and module production - SOVEL: High-performance formation systems for lead-acid and lithium-ion storage Technologies - BITRODE: Laboratory and production line testing systems for all battery chemistries At this point in its long journey, Sovema Group has thus become a one-stop shop which can truly meet the needs of battery makers with a wide range of solutions, both for production and testing. This is also reflected in the change of the company name from Sovema S.p.A. to Sovema Group S.p.A. in 2017.
