GENCODE is a company operating in the design and manufacture of inkjet machines for industrial coding and marking ๐ฎ๐น
Its history began in 2000 in a basement. The name recalls the words Genome (the genetic patrimony of an organism) and Code(coding), to mean that coding is part of the company's DNA.
In 2002, First in the World ๐, a high definition printer with 70 mm print height, 180 dpi resolution and 510 dots was designed and built for the secondary packaging sector. Nobody had ever thought of using such a high resolution and such a large size in the packaging industry. Despite not having a strong commercial push, this machine was immediately so successful that after a few years it was 'imitated' by other manufacturers in the sector.
In 2008, the use of touch screens was introduced for the first time in this sector.
In 2010, an innovative system for automatic printer cleaning with ink recovery was brought onto the market. Thanks to this system, the ink that was normally wasted during this phase is now filtered and reused with savings of up to 50%.
The success of this system soon prompted other manufacturers in the industry to 'imitate' it. Since then, the range has expanded to include cartridge printers and colour printers. The research and development department employs 50% of the workforce, testifying to the desire to continuously improve products and explore new ideas.
The company's know-how covers all aspects of the product: mechanical and hydraulic design, hardware, software, design.
