Clinics IV Life was conceived to effect actual and immediate delivery of care to poor, indigent and disadvantaged communities, focusing on expectant mothers and newborn.
Nowhere is the failure of healthcare more apparent than in these communities and this fundamental breakdown in provision of care is not limited to developing countries alone, but is rampant in the United States, where access to care for rural and impoverished communities is all but non-existent. Add to this the existing biases towards race and gender that still permeate healthcare and this patient population faces almost insurmountable challenges.
Every 16 seconds a baby is stillborn and every 2 minutes a mother dies giving birth. There is no world in which these statistics should be tolerated and not acted upon.
Clinics IV Life identifies areas of special need (ASN's) and build clinics in these areas that are staffed by OBGYN's and Pediatricians. These shared practices deliver free care to expectant mothers and their newborn, while offering vital services in communities where medical care is inaccessible or unaffordable.
We rely heavily on our advisory boards, both in-country and abroad to provide data and skill to assist us in realizing our goals. Our first pilot clinic is currently under construction in the Philippines and projects in Cambodia and India are being evaluated.
As a 501(c)3 not for profit, we rely entirely on the generosity of our donors to fund and fuel our vision.
