Innoven Energy has made a breakthrough in the field of inertial confinement fusion (ICF) which allows for a rapid path to clean, inexpensive, unlimited fusion energy. Innoven is the only company pursuing the inertial confinement approach to fusion, which is also the only approach that has been experimentally demonstrated to produce net energy. Drawing on extensive experience from the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) and other government and private programs, Innoven has developed a laser technology 160x less expensive than current state of the art. This enables construction of a laser with sufficient energy to allow controlled and safe inertial fusion energy to be robustly and cheaply realized for the first time.
