Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) employs more than 2,500 engineers, scientists, technicians, logisticians, and support personnel who provide the United States Navy surface fleet with integration, test and evaluation, life-cycle engineering, and product support for today’s and tomorrow’s warfare systems.
For more than half a century, NSWC PHD has been at the forefront of engineering and product support for the U.S. Navy's combat and weapon systems. From its roots as Naval Ship Missile Systems Engineering Station—servicing and providing overall technical support for Terrier-, Talos-, and Tartar-guided missiles—to its current provision supporting today's and tomorrow's warfare systems, NSWC PHD is the fleet's source for readiness.
