The Columbus Urban League (CUL) is a community‐based, non‐profit, advocacy organization. Our mission is to empower families in need, with data‐driven, life‐changing strategies designed to support the achievement of self‐reliance and self‐sufficiency and family stabilization.
Founded in 1918, the CUL is an affiliate of the National Urban League. We stand as one of the largest and most prestigious community‐based organizations in Central Ohio. Ranked 7th in the 98‐affiliate network of the Urban League movement nationally, we are one of the oldest organizations in the United States, promoting equal and equitable access to resources.
The CUL employs 121 staff responsible for the delivery of 19 different consumer‐based programs. We focus our efforts on delivering high‐quality Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary & Adult Education Services, Workforce Development & Career Services, Housing Support Services and Community Outreach to special populations in Central Ohio.
