TMSS is a renowned non-government organization with a rich history of empowering women and driving positive change in Bangladesh and South Asia. Founded in 1964 and reformed by the visionary Prof. Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, an Ashoka Fellow, in 1980, TMSS has been at the forefront of female-led initiatives to combat poverty, promote women's empowerment, advocate for human rights and social justice, and contribute to sustainable development.

TMSS is a women focused Bangladeshi organization working for alleviation of poverty, Women Empowerment through Skill Training and Micro Credit Support, human rights and social justice, advocacy and campaign, climate change and environment, Disaster Preparedness activities, health and hygiene including total WASH system improvement, improvement of socio-economic status and overall livelihood improvement of Bangladesh to address and contribute towards the achievement of the SDGs.
