Singapore International School (Hong Kong) or SISHK is known for our high quality holistic education, academic rigour and bilingual programme. Established in 1991 with the strong support of Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE), we nurture our students to be respectful and responsible world citizens with sound moral values, equipped with the skills to meet challenges of tomorrow.
Our school community and environment are considerably enriched by the diverse backgrounds of our students. There are currently over 1400 students in the school from over 20 nationalities, including Singapore and Hong Kong; of which approximately 400 are in the secondary section.
The school is guided by the Singapore education philosophy and offers an academically rigourous bilingual curriculum in English and Chinese (Putonghua) from kindergarten to pre-university levels.
The preparatory years and primary section opened in 1991 with just 200 students. SISHK grew quickly and the secondary section began in 2007 with the first cohort of IGCSE graduating in 2010. The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for pre-university students, many of whom go on to study at prestigious universities around the world.
