Our Location on the edge of the Lake District, Lancashire and Yorkshire gives us access to some of the best cattle and lamb markets in the UK. Today James and Richard Altham the great, great, grandsons of the founder run the business and as a company, whose origins were farm based; and indeed today the fourth and fifth generation of the family are still involved on a daily basis in farming and butchery. We continue to take great care in the provenance, selecting and preparing of all our products using our traditional methods. Our butchers and staff, many have service of 15-25 years, are dedicated to producing the product you ask for.
