Ethics is in our DNA. We are a radically generous plant-protein company that is redefining the positive impact business can have on people, society and the environment. When you buy a product, you buy the world that goes with it.
In 2012, James left the Finance world with the vision of setting up a Fairtrade business. While travelling Peru, he discovered the delights of quinoa and the rich cultivation heritage that goes along with it.
Quinola now works with over 700 farmers from Fairtrade cooperatives. Like Coopain Cabana, nestled in the hills near Lake Titicaca at 4000m, who are a group of 500 smallholder farmers. We have raised funds for the Coopain farmers to help modernise their techniques, with sustainability at the forefront.
We offset our maritime carbon emissions for the transportation of the quinoa from Peru to Le Havre, France. We do this by working with the Pur Project on a reforestation initiative planting trees in the Peruvian amazon.
Once our quinoa has landed in Le Havre - our grains and flakes are packed in a workshop who employs 16 people with learning disabilities and our express quinoa range is made in Brittany, France.
Our current range includes Quinoa Grains, Express Quinoa (Ready to Eat), Express Kids Meals, Quinoa Cakes and Quinoa Flakes.
