The City of Tallmadge is located in Northeast Ohio 35 miles southeast of the City of Cleveland and adjacent to the City of Akron. The City was founded in 1807 and today is home to approximately 17,537 people living in 7,026 households. The average household size is 2.45 persons per household.
The City presently strives to achieve a balance between stable growth in population, economic development, and in the appropriate mix of residential types, while maintaining the character and atmosphere of a small town and preserving the family-oriented residential character of Tallmadge.
