Save the Children is the world's leading independent organization for children, fighting for children's rights and for children to reach their full potential and live a dignified life, no matter who they are and where they grow up. Our focus is for children to be safe, healthy and learn and we create lasting positive change in children's lives in over 100 countries worldwide, including Norway. We protect children in war & conflict, help reduce the occurrence of diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea and malaria and ensure good quality education. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, our work takes us into the heart of communities, where we help children and families help themselves. We constantly find new ways to reach children who need us the most and lead the work to reduce the negative effects of Covid-19; on poverty, learning crisis and violence and abuse. We wrote the treaty that describes the rights of every child and for a century we have stood up for children and made sure that their voices are heard. With the children on the team, we collaborate with local communities, other organizations, governments & authorities, non-profit organizations and a variety of local and international partners while maintaining our own independence without political agenda or religious orientation.
