For over 80 years, Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania (PPWP) has served the reproductive health care needs of individuals and families in western Pennsylvania. Throughout our history we have taken a leadership role in providing these reproductive health care services. These services are offered to anyone – regardless of income level or insurance status. This life saving work includes gynecological care, cancer screening, STI screening and treatments and offering a variety of birth control methods to meet the needs of the individual.
In addition to our health care services, PPWP has been providing education services since the 1950s. Today, PPWP’s education department offers a variety of specialized programming to address important social and health issues, including adolescent pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, peer pressure and healthy decision making.
