Dodo Pad is a much-loved quirky British stationery and gift company, producing a series of diaries, calendars and organisers together with greetings cards and other related items. The original Dodo Pad family desk diary first appeared in 1966. In 2015 it celebrated the launch of its 50th anniversary edition. In 2020, in the midst of the global coronavirus pandemic, we produced the very first digital Dodo Pad diary – the DigiDodoPad.
The current company was formed in 1997 and the Dodo Pad brand has been developed since to include a successful range of mid-year academic diaries (Acad-Pad) as well as a wide range of everyday organisers from recipes to a health & wellbeing book. Sales are to well-known upmarket high street multiples as well as independent retailers and bookshops as well as through e-tail channels and via the company’s own website. Selected distributors make up Dodo Pad’s international markets.
The company operates from Cornwall in the UK. The business is structured to make best use of outsourced facilities wherever possible. This includes all warehousing arrangements. Design development is in conjunction with long term partner suppliers.
The name was first coined when the original family diary was designed. The front cover states: ‘If you too are nearly extinct with the daily pressures of modern life, then try the Dodo Pad’. And on the back cover: ‘After using your Dodo Pad for a year you might find you are not as extinct as all that’ (with a picture of a baby Dodo). Its popularity has not waned in over 50 years with extraordinarily loyal users from the age of 8 to 80+.
Dodo Pad is recognised as a brand synonymous with creativity, fun & quirky British humour, injecting enjoyment into items for personal organisation whoever the consumer, whatever their life stage. Dodo Pad offers the ability to capture engagements and plans, whether on paper or digitally, in a fun and quirky way.
