A 93-acre idyllic natural setting in North Stamford, the Arboretum has themed display gardens, 10 walking trails, the Silver Educational Center, children's Nature Explore interactive outdoor classroom, and a botanical library with herbarium collections dating back to the late 1800's.
The original homestead and training grounds of Dr. Francis Bartlett, founder of the Bartlett Tree Expert Co., the property boasts a unique collection of champion and rare trees as well as natural forest and open space. Children's and adult classes and programs are offered year-round, as well as summer concerts, artist gallery shows, photography, garden tours and plant sales.
The property is open to the public 365 days a year from dawn to dusk and is dog-friendly (leashes required).
