Democracy Reporting International (DRI) promotes political participation of citizens, accountability, and the development of democratic institutions worldwide. We help support local ways of promoting the universal right of citizens to participate in the political life of their country. In Lebanon, we support a joint and coordinated bottom-up approach with Lebanese civil society partners to promote good governance at the local and national levels. To enhance local governance and help rectify the current political and socio-economic challenges of Lebanon, DRI is drawing from academia, NGOs and think tanks to share knowledge and build capacities starting with country-wide surveys of local, regional, and national government authorities.
