The California Institute of Computer-Assisted Surgery (CICAS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which partners with faculty and scientists in high-tech institutions such as Stanford University and the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) in order to develop the state of the art in computer-assisted minimally invasive medical instruments. CICAS makes use of the latest advances in engineering, computer science, and medical research in order to design, develop, test, and validate innovative interactive technology for advanced medical imaging and computer-assisted surgery.
