BOS Shelf LLC is one of the leading companies in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan, specializing in construction of deep water jackets and topsides operating on offshore oil and gas fields. The company was founded in 2001 by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Star Gulf FZCO. From the very beginning of its activity, BOS Shelf has been dealing with the most large-scale and complex offshore oil and gas production projects in Azerbaijan. In 2001 Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) awarded BOS Shelf the contract for construction of two deep water jackets for Central Azeri Field which was the Phase 1 of the full-scale development of the largest oil and gas project in the history of Azerbaijan - Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG).
