SCHNABEL DC Consultants India Private Limited (SCHNABEL), founded as a subsidiary of SCHNABEL AG Germany, has been providing Data Center consulting services in India since late 2007. SCHNABEL has its head office at Bangalore. The company focuses on design, planning, project management, training, certifications and audits for Data Center site infrastructure. These relate to the mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, architectural, safety and security systems in these mission-critical facilities. SCHNABEL has addressed 3,500,000 sq ft of Data Center built up area for clients in India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. SCHNABEL is completely vendor- neutral. SCHNABEL is a member of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and a part of the TR42.1 Sub-Committee that updates the TIA-942 global Data Center standard. Further, SCHNABEL is a BICSI Corporate Member and in the BICSI-002 Data Center Sub-Committee. SCHNABEL is listed as a Data Center Consultant in the international 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 BICSI Corporate Buyer’s Guide. In addition, SCHNABEL chairs an Expert Group on Energy Efficient Data Centers under the Indian Association of Energy Management Professionals. SCHNABEL was also a Steering Committee and Core Group member for the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (along with the Confederation of Indian Industry) initiative for an Energy Efficiency Manual for Indian Data Centers, and lectures at the Institute of Development and Research in Banking Technology, Hyderabad on topics related to green Data Centers. SCHNABEL chaired the Technical Committee that developed the Green Data Center Rating System under the Indian Green Building Council in 2016.
