Un Ponte Per ... is an association for international solidarity born in 1991 immediately after the end of the bombing on Iraq. From the very beginning its aim has been the promotion of solidarity initiatives for the Iraqi population affected by the war. Originally called “Un Ponte Per Baghdad”, the association later became simply Un Ponte Per… after expanding its work into Serbia, Kosovo and various Middle Eastern and Mediterranean countries.
The purpose of the association is to prevent the outbreak of new conflicts, particularly in the Middle East, through advocacy campaigns, cultural exchanges, cooperation projects and civil peace interventions. Un Ponte Per… considers solidarity interventions to be indivisible from the commitment to building links between the Italian civil society and the civil societies of the countries in which it operates.
