Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development is a 501(c)6 non-profit, public/private partnership formed in 1995 to help create new jobs and investment in Central Virginia. The Partnership has recently integrated staff and resources with the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center and the Piedmont Workforce Network to expand its services for existing businesses, entrepreneurs, job seekers and employers.
Central Virginia is comprised of 8 localities. The region has a vibrant economic ecosystem that balances the needs of the business community with an incomparable quality of life. Key Central Virginia assets include the intellectual firepower of the University of Virginia, strategic location, a pro-business climate, and a highly qualified workforce.

Our service territory includes the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle, Culpeper, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson and Orange Counties. We serve as regional liaison for the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and Virginia Department of Business Assistance for this region.
