Kharkiv Airlines was founded in 1998 and operated flights until 2001. Since that time Kharkiv Airlines withstood difficult economic period and due to lack of adequate funding and modern aircraft fleet were not involved in the performance of air transportation.
After almost 10 years the question of flights resumption but in a qualitative format with a new fleet of aircraft and observance of the latest security technologies and international standards in civil aviation was arisen.
In 2012 Kharkiv Airlines fleet joined two new generation aircraft – medium-haul Boeing 737-800NG and one long-haul aircraft Boeing 767-300. Replenishment of Kharkiv Airlines fleet was an absolute confirmation of the new owner plans to rebuild air transportation carrier.
In June, 2013 Kharkiv Airlines received Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and License of the State Aviation Administration for providing services of air passenger transportation, which showed compliance with all standards, including carrier’s safety standards for transportation and ground handling.
