Western Harvest supply premium NZ grown fruit & vegetables to the NZ and offshore markets which can be processed to the customer’s unique requirements. We are located on the beautiful Kapiti coast on the west side of the lower North Island. It is the soil, the climate, the sunshine and the reliable rain that all add up to a very special cropping area. Our Story: Western Harvest was first established in the late 1980’s when the Jones family purchased 16 acres of prime river silt- peat soil mix. After growing a range of fruit and vegetables such as kiwifruit, boysenberries, blackberries, passionfruit, strawberries, blueberries and later, pears and rhubarb, we have finally settled down to the highest performers which are to this day blackberries, rhubarb and less so, blueberries. Alongside this successful cropping operation we have the appropriate equipment thanks to Urschels, to process nearly every fruit or vegetable that can be sliced, diced or grated to the customers unique requirements. Through our knowledge of New Zealand growers and suppliers, we have the ability to source a wide range of premium frozen fruit and vegetables. This gives us the ability to ship 20ft or 40ft reefer containers with our own IQF blackberries or IQF Rhubarb and additionally, frozen kiwifruit, IQF boysenberries, IQF grated carrot, IQF strawberries, frozen diced celery, or any other New Zealand product that our customers require
