Wilson Trophy Company Inc. was started in 1976 by Charlie Wilson and Ernie Renko. Ernie was the working partner while Charlie more the silent type. Charlie Wilson already had several locations in the U.S.A, so the name Wilson's in Canada seemed practical. The first location was on Sismet Road just south of our present day location and after a couple of years, the 2400 sq. ft location was just too small to handle the rapidly growing company. Now, Wilson is at its present address at 1318 Britannia Road East, which is an almost 9000 sq. ft with state of the art equipment. Ernie Renko bought out Charlie giving him 100% ownership allowing him to steer the company in the direction he knew would allow it to become the leader in sales and service it has become today. In the beginning Rick started working with the company part time and working with his dad as his boss was one the greatest experiences of Rick's life! You still hear Ernie’s voice throughout the factory, “The job must be done right Period son”! Rick has done every job in Wilson Trophy throughout the years and is now the one running the company, after the passing of his dad in the late 90's. Rick still runs the company with the same old fashion values and being a good family man he knows what makes sense. In the mid 90's two key hires, Ron Sinker and Ingrid Petty, joined the Wilson Trophy team. They are still a key part of the team and have never missed a day in nearly 20 years.
