Located in Lake Placid, New York, home to the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games, National Sports Academy is an independent coeducational boarding school for elite winter sports athletes in grades 8-12.
National Sports Academy is dedicated to providing academic and athletic programs that meet the individual needs of committed student-athletes as they prepare themselves for national and international winter athletic competition, college and life. The ideas embedded in this mission statement drive athletic and educational programming, the recruitment and hiring of faculty and coaches, the recruitment of student-athletes, the construction of the annual operating budget, strategic planning. Indeed, they drive all key decisions at the school.
NSA provides all of the necessary academic tools to ensure success in and out of the classroom, while enabling student-athletes to pursue their athletics at the highest levels. Our academic program ensures that our student-athletes can focus on both school and their athletics by incorporating innovative technologies, flexible academic schedules, guided study while away from school and an understanding environment of accommodation and advance planning on the part of the faculty.
