St Catherine’s Hospice is a well-renowned local charity working to support people in Central Lancashire who are affected by life-shortening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.
Working at the hospice, in the community and at home, we’re here to help people enjoy the best possible quality of life and, when the time comes, to have comfort and dignity in death.
It costs around £5.6m to run our services each year for a population of approximately 380,000 people across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble. Of this, a huge £3.7m must be raised through charitable giving.
Money is raised in a variety of ways including fundraising events, donations, the St Catherine’s Hospice lottery, our 18 shops and legacy gifts. We also work hard to raise awareness of St Catherine’s as a place of positivity and peace, breaking down barriers which could prevent people from accessing our care.
