Global Cities After Dark is a one day forum which approaches night time culture from a global perspective. It is curated and presented via the partnership of Mirik Milan, Global Night Mayor Advocate and Co-Founder of VibeLab and Electronic Music Conference. Global Cities After Dark exchanges knowledge between international cities, highlights best practices and focuses on the future solutions for positive and thriving nightlife globally.
Nightlife as a cultural and economic driver has become much more important from a local as well as a global perspective. Global Cities After Dark focuses on the pillars that are essential to supporting successful nightlife – creative industries being able to prosper and grow, music and art activating at night, transport and mobility, public health and safety, city planning and place making, legislation and regulatory process.
Launched in 2017, Global Cities After Dark brings together over 200 specialists from various fields within night time culture from multiple cities around the world. Developing a global cities network is one of the keys to deeply exploring the challenges and opportunities within nightlife. Global Cities After Dark attendees include creative leaders of the night, hospitality figures, local and state government, health and safety specialists and inspirational figures who demonstrate that safe nightlife can also be exciting, free and dynamic.
