EARS is a radio sales representation founded in 2019 in Uganda. It was initiated by the Uganda Radio Network (URN), Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT), Germany’s biggest Media NGO.
The initiative was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to strengthen independent radios in East Africa.

High quality journalism and access to trusted information needs a financing model. Our aim is that radio stations operate self-sufficient. EARS supports local radio stations with marketing services to enhance their commercial success for reinvestment in independent, high quality journalism.
