We positively transform childrens’ lives.
Founded in 1894, Kurn Hattin Homes for Children is a non-profit, donor-supported residential home and school that provides social and emotional support, enriching life experiences, high-quality education, and basic stability for children ages 5-15 whose families face difficult circumstances.
On our countryside campus in Westminster, Vermont, the skilled, caring staff creates a safe, welcoming environment for children to live and learn. Here, kids reside in supervised, home-like cottages, and attend our full-accredited K-8 school, where they are challenged by innovative, ability-based academics and nurtured by expert teachers in small classes.
Together—working closely with families, volunteers, referring school districts, alumni, and donors—we create lasting change, one child at a time. Our proven model for successfully launching children into the next phase of their lives shows that here, hope has a home.
