The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service provides high quality public healthcare to more than 300,000 people in major provincial and small rural community settings.
We have 17 hospitals, three multipurpose health services, six aged care facilities, one primary health care centre, and four outpatient clinics, and offer a wide spectrum of staff opportunities in supportive professional environments that value innovation and excellence.
Each day our staff demonstrate our organisational vision: “Caring for our communities: healthier together” as we work to provide the best person-centred care possible. We have a workforce of more than 5000 people in both clinical and non-clinical areas.
We have a major teaching role, providing both undergraduate and postgraduate clinical experience for members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This includes emergency, acute and primary care, mental health, community services, aged care and sub-acute/rehabilitation services.
The communities across the Darling Downs and South Burnett have a great range of lifestyle options that can combine the very best of country and city living. Our facilities are usually within driving distance of the beach or outback and have easy access to a regional airport that links directly to many major capital cities.
