Company Details
New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) works with businesses and local authority partners to drive growth and enterprise in Norfolk and Suffolk. We achieve economic growth by securing public and private investment and delivering a range of programmes and initiatives with partners to improve infrastructure, skills and business support. Since being established, the LEP has: Unlocked £293m of private sector investment Helped create 921 businesses Created 6,672 jobs Trained or supported 823 learners Delivered 549 new homes The Government awarded the LEP £32.1m from its Getting Building Fund to deliver a range of shovel-ready projects, including vital town centre improvements, faster broadband and regeneration schemes such as the new Marina Centre on Great Yarmouth Seafront and the Burtons Building in Ipswich's Waterfront district. Our Growing Places Fund provides loan-funding to help kick-start and support development projects across Suffolk and Norfolk. From innovation centres that will help launch new start-ups to transforming empty land into new homes and commercial premises, it provides infrastructure loan funding to projects that might otherwise have stalled or not started at all. We have two Enterprise Zones deliver a wide range of benefits to companies across 16 sites in Norfolk and Suffolk. Businesses in these zones benefit from business rates discounts, super fast broadband and simplified planning. New Anglia Growth Hub is part of the Business Growth delivered by the LEP and provides free, impartial business support to businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk. It administers the Growing Business Fund, which grants of up to £250,000, and the Small Grant Scheme, which offers grants of £1,000 to £25,000. We are committed to supporting skills development across our region and our Enterprise Adviser Network (EAN) aims to increase employer engagement with schools and colleges in Norfolk and Suffolk.
