Wentworth House Rail Systems is a leading provider of Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) Design and Consultancy services. Our team provides over two hundred and fifty years of railway experience in both light and heavy rail worldwide. Our experience of electric traction systems includes 750 D.C. tramway systems to that of the modern high speed (+200mph) railways using 25kV-0-25kV equipment. Our team possesses a full understanding of the requirements of the other railway disciplines and is able recognise the key interfaces to insure a fully integrated OLE Design solution.
Our culture is based on a 'Can do, Will do' philosophy and are able to provide a full range of services in order to develop electrification projects from concept through to detail design for both 'green' and the more complex brown' projects where complex staging of works is necessary to meet restrictive track access timings.
We strive to develop designs that offer safety as a paramount consideration, not only with regarding the installer the maintainer and the eventual decommissioning of the equipment. At a start of project we will seek out items/elements of the projects and throughout the life of the project continually review our designs to ensure we either eliminate and to reduce the likelihood and/or the consequences to ALARP.
The Wentworth House Rail Systems team have experience of all types of electrification equipment used on the UK from the traditional OLEMI, including the Mark 1 and Great Eastern Conversation to that of the modern types that are now being used in the UK such as Furrer+Frey and the new Network Rail Series 2 design.
Wentworth House Rail Systems is part of Keltbray Infrastructure Group.
