LHA London (formally The London Hostels Association) is a charitable enterprise and one of the Capital’s leading and affordable accommodation providers. What was originally created to give shelter to those made homeless by the Blitz, LHA London continues its mission with 13 hostels located in some of central London’s most convenient locations.
With a firm belief that the cost of accommodation shouldn’t be a barrier to young people, whatever their chosen career or education path in the Capital, LHA London appeals to young adults who would otherwise find it challenging to access affordable and quality accommodation when they arrive in the city for work or study.
Volunteers are a big part of LHA London’s success – especially the ‘giving back’ to help the charitable aims of the organisation. The contribution of the volunteers (who are provided with shared accommodation and full board whilst assisting with the day-to-day running of hostel operations) allows LHA London to keep accommodation affordable. It also enables us to work with a range of other partner charities that specialise in supporting young people experiencing homelessness.
