AO Spine strives to advance spine care worldwide by investing in spine research and offering excellent educational opportunities in spine care. Our research activities, our state-of-the-art education and fellowship program, as well as our global community of spine care surgeons ensure the development, distribution, and exchange of knowledge worldwide.
Established in June 2003, AO Spine has regional offices in Asia Pacific, Europe and Southern Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Northern Africa, and North America. Each region drives more than 180 local educational activities within the AO Spine international network.
Each year, AO Spine organizes the Global Spine Congress (GSC) which aims to educate, stimulate discussion and debate, and advance the field of spine care. Clinicians, researchers, and colleagues highly appreciate this platform to present the latest results of their clinical studies and basic research to a truly global audience.
Global Spine Journal, the official journal of AO Spine, is an international peer-reviewed journal that includes scientific articles as well as original research, reviews, commentaries, editorials, technical reports, and case studies in all spine fields.
Today, AO Spine fosters a global community of 30,000 members and associates from all over the world.
