The EuroCloud Portugal Association, created in January 2010, is a non profitable organization, committed to pursuit the promotion and development of services and technologies presented by Cloud Computing paradigm. To achieve such purpose, the association will foster the cooperation among national companies and between these and those that integrate the European network; as well as scientific purposes and the knowledge transfer between R&D centers and the entrepreneurial world. Affiliated with the European association EuroCloud, the Portuguese counterpart embraces both academic and business members, among which are Polytechnic of Porto and its engineering schools, IBM, EMC2, Microsoft and CIL. EuroCloud Portugal acknowledges the support from the Portuguese Foundation for National Scientific Computing (FCCN) and the Portuguese Technological Plan.
