Formerly known as the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM), DEVCOM joined Army Futures Command on Feb. 3, 2019, and marks the next step in the Army's effort to transform its approach to modernize critical core capabilities that will give Soldiers and allies a decisive edge in battle.
Mission: To provide the research, engineering, and analytical expertise to deliver capabilities that enable the Army to deter and, when necessary, decisively defeat any adversary now and in the future.
Vision: To be the scientific and technological foundation of the Future Force Modernization Enterprise through world-leading research, development, engineering and analysis.
