Plate it Forward is a social enterprise hospitality group providing food relief, training and employment opportunities, and career pathways to marginalised members of the Sydney community. We invite you to be a part of our movement creating long-term social change simply by dining at our 5 restaurants, participating in our exclusive hospitality experiences, or engaging our diverse catering services. When you engage with our unique hospitality offerings, you help fund greater social and economic inclusion for our team by combining premium hospitality with charitable initiatives. Food Security – We donate one meal to someone in need every time a guest is catered for or dines at our restaurants, equating to 2,000 meals provided to food insecure individuals each week. Community – We run community kitchens at Wesley Mission’s Wesley Edward Eagar Lodge and Salvation Army’s Foster House 365 days a year to support 100 residents by cooking and serving 3 balanced meals per day. Training – We fund formal qualifications and tangible soft-skills training for our team to gain greater experience towards a successful career. So far this year, our team has completed 41 formal training courses. Employment – We employ individuals who have faced complex and multiple barriers to employment and focus on building management pathways for greater financial security. Throughout 2023, we have promoted 6 of these individuals. Climate Action – We rescue 800kgs of perfectly edible food destined for landfill each week and our chefs use this produce to create our restaurant-quality meals for donation.
