Brighton and Hove Energy Services Co-operative (BHESCo) is a not-for-profit social enterprise helping homes and businesses meet their heat and power needs with clean, affordable community owned energy. Based in Brighton and Hove, we have delivered successful projects throughout Sussex and our reach is growing. We have the expertise to scale our offer throughout England, and have been identified by Ofgem as an archetype of a local energy service. We work with our customers to understand their needs, recommending the most cost-effective solutions and overseeing the installation of chosen technologies at no upfront cost. We make our service available at zero upfront cost, and repayments are made using our Pay As You Save model. This means that customers start to see savings immediately, with a portion of the savings made from energy bills going towards repaying the cost of the installation. Once project costs are repaid, customers enjoy the full benefit of their savings. In addition to project development, BHESCo also offer consultancy services to local authorities to support the design of effective Local Area Energy Plans, helping town and parish councils to decarbonise in line with national Net Zero targets,
