The Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES) is a national, bilingual organization that represents approximately 81,000 engineering students across Canada. Our goal is to enhance the student experience & engineering education through fostering the development of leadership, professional and ethical qualities, engineering identity, technical proficiency, and communication. The CFES facilitates and actively supports these activities by:
1. Offering bilingual opportunities which foster the development of all facets of an engineering education
2. Providing representation on issues relevant to engineering students in Canada
3. Promoting the free exchange of ideas and experiences to support the constant evolution of engineering student environments across Canada
The CFES offers a variety of services including:
The CFES Conference on Diversity in Engineering - Platform for discussion and collaboration between engineering students and professionals to develop knowledge surrounding individuals, cultures and perspectives found within engineering communities.
The CFES Canadian Engineering Leadership Conference - Annual General Meeting of the Federation and a platform for student leaders to collaborate with and learn from industry partners, sponsors and fellow students. Formerly Congress.
The Canadian Engineering Competition - A highly selective competition where students from across the country compete in select categories including design, consulting, presentation and debate.
