The Duke Human Vaccine Institute (DHVI) has established a place of national and international leadership in the fight against major infectious diseases. DHVI plays an integral leadership role in the Global HIV/AIDS Vaccine Enterprise and is a pioneer in emerging infections and biodefense research. By focusing on the scientific “bottlenecks” for the development of HIV, influenza, SARS-CoV-2, and other vaccines and therapeutics, DHVI investigators continue to make significant contributions to overcome global health challenges on behalf of society.
Our Mission:
To develop vaccines and therapeutics against diseases of global importance while training the next generation of scientists.
Our Values: The DHVI supports the development of vaccines and therapeutics through a commitment to Innovation, Collaboration, and Excellence.
