In 1842, David Haviland began manufacturing fine ceramics and porcelain in Limoges, France; the world capital of porcelain. Haviland’s devotion to craftmanship gained attention from royal families and heads of state from around the world, including the wife of Napoleon III, the Empress Eugenie, President Jacques Chirac, Prince Rainier, and Presidents Roosevelt and Lincoln, to name a few. Since 1875 Effé has remained faithful to its values of French tradition and quality in the silversmith trade. Founded as a simple workshop with rudimentary tools, today Effé is a factory with the most sophisticated machinery, with silversmiths utilizing advanced techniques of shaping precious metals. Produced in Toulouse. France, Effé guarantees the utmost quality of materials keeping up the traditional savoir-faire of its master silversmiths.
