Skillshare International is an international volunteering and development organisation. Our vision is of a world without poverty, injustice and inequality where people, regardless of cultural, social and political divides, come together for mutual benefit, living in peaceful co-existence. To do this, we work in partnership with communities in Africa and Asia to reduce poverty, injustice and inequality and to further economic and social development.
We share and develop skills and ideas, facilitating organisational and social change and building awareness of development issues.
Our values:
We value the right of people and communities to determine and develop their own future.
We are committed to collective and individual empowerment.
We believe that working in partnership is central to effective economic, social and organisational development.
Through our partnership with the International Citizen Service, we are also able to send volunteers abroad on fully funded placements in South Africa, Lesotho and Botswana. International Citizen Service (ICS) is a UK government funded development programme inspiring a generation of young people to make a difference to global poverty.
Anyone who is aged 18-25 is able to apply. To take part you won't need qualifications, experience or cash - just the passion and determination to make a difference. If you are over 23 and have experience of working with young people, you can apply to be a team leader.
