FLITE is an non-profit organization that helps ensure that all children in T/E have the tools, opportunities and support they need to succeed in school. FLITE works with the T/E School District administration to identify areas of need and raises funds from the community to support academic programs. FLITE programs address the needs of early childhood education through college preparation.
Programs funded by FLITE are age-appropriate, education-based, and developed with the students who may best benefit from these programs in mind. From preschool tuition assistance to after-school homework clubs, music, reading, SAT prep, classroom innovation, summer learning opportunities, to college readiness and more, FLITE offers enriching programs that make a difference.
FLITE was approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization on March 10, 2006. An all-volunteer Board of Trustees governs FLITE. An active Advisory Board of Directors provides additional leadership. Dedicated volunteers provide support.
