Alumot is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in 2012 that mentors social entrepreneurs, and develops social initiatives and innovative models to cope with social challenges.
Alumot's goals are to
* Increase the inclusion in society of people that are physically disadvantaged
* Strengthen NGOs that help the socially disadvantaged
* Develop social initiatives
We believe that the engine for the equitable integration of disadvantaged members of society lies in the heart of society itself. For that reason, we act to strengthen exactly those organizations that improve integration of the socially disadvantaged into society, as well as raising awareness, seeding initiatives and governmental policies that further this aim.
In practical terms, Alumot is active on a number of levels:
* Development and coaching of leadership with encouragement of participation of local leaders and activists in areas of influence
* Building plans that strengthen and evolve the strategic and economic outlooks of social organizations that help disadvantaged members of society
* Development of collaboration with peer organizations involved in the same areas of philanthropy
* Encouraging and supporting social entrepreneurs and initiatives fostering services for the socially disadvantaged
