European Alternatives (EA) is a transnational civil society organisation and citizen movement promoting democracy, equality and culture beyond the nation state. We believe that the most urgent political, cultural and social questions can no longer be understood or dealt with at the national level alone, and that new forms of transnational collectivity must be fostered to restore to citizens democratic control over their future. EA has offices in several European cities and our network of partners and activists spans the continent.
